ICC WORLD T20 XI

International Cricket Council (ICC) is the governing body of international cricket. This apex body controls every single affair, regulations and prospects of Cricket. ICC has also given awards and published a ranking of teams and their players in regular intervals for every format in cricket. In present days, in T20 international, the name of the player who is leading the ranking table –

  • Batsman- Dawid Malan (ENG)
  • Bowler- Tarbariz Shamsi (SA)
  • All Rounder- Mohammad Nabi (AFG)

ICC has also released the all-time cricket ranking for every format (i.e. Test, ODI &T20s), which is unknown to many of us. Based on their All-time player ranking in t20 Internationals, hereby we will try to create the ICC ALL TIME WORLD XI IN T20.

Aaron Finch (Australia)

  • ICC T20 Ranking- 2 (All time) / 2 (Present)

The skipper of the Australian team in both ODI & T20 format will be the opener for the ICC World XI (T20). Aaron Finch has scored 2346 runs in 71 innings (Average- 38.46) with the help of 2 Centuries and 14 Half-centuries. Finch has scored 172 runs in just 76 Balls against Zimbabwe is remains the highest individual score for a player in T20 International. Finch has also scored 156 runs in just 63 balls against England in 2013.

  • Lokesh Rahul (India) [Wicket keeper]
  • ICC T20 Ranking- 8 (All time) / 7 (Present)

The versatile component of Lokesh Rahul made him an outstanding player for India in recent times. Therefore he will be another opener with Aaron finch. Rahul has scored 1557 runs in 45 innings (Average- 39.92) with the help of 2 centuries and 12 Fifties. He has scored 110 in just 51 balls against West Indies on Aug 17, 2016.

Virat Kohli (India) [CAPTAIN]

  • ICC T20 Ranking- 3 (All time) / 5 (Present)

Indian skipper for all formats, Virat Kohli will bat in the 3rd place. He has played some memorable and crucial knocks for both India and his IPL team, RCB. Therefore he has been announced as the “ICC Player of the Decade” in 2021. Kohli has scored 3159 runs in just 84 innings (Average- 52.65) with the help of 28 Half-centuries which includes a match-winning 94 runs in just 50 balls against the west indies in 2019.

Dawid Malan (ENG)

  • ICC T20 Ranking- 1 (All time) / 1 (Present)

England veteran batsman Dawid Malan has ranked No 1 batsman in T20 in both present and all-time ranking Leaderboard. After his debut, he has played some magnificent knocks for his team. Malan has scored 1003 in 24 matches (Average- 50.15) with the help of 1 Century & 10 Fifties. Malan has scored 103 runs in just 51 balls against New Zealand on November 8, 2019.

Babar Azam (Pakistan)

  • ICC T20 Ranking- 4 (All time) / 3 (Present)

Babar Azam, the skipper of Pakistan, will come at no 5 in the batting position. He is in tremendous form and one of the most consistent batsmen in the world right now. Probably he is the best batsman in his team for now. Babar has scored 2035 runs in 52 matches (Average- 47.33) with the help of 1 Century and 18 Fifties so far. He has scored a match-winning 122 runs in just 59 balls against South Africa on 14 April 2021.

Kevin Pieterson (England)

  • ICC T20 Ranking- 5 (All time) / Unranked (Present)

In his 10 years long career, Kevin Pieterson was the main pillar for England Cricket Team in all formats. Due to some controversy, Pieterson Career has been ended early. He will come at no 6th position in batting. KP has scored 1176 runs in 36 innings (Average- 37.94) with the help of 7 Half Centuries. He has scored 79 in 37 balls against Zimbabwe on 13 th September 2007 which is his highest individual score.

Shahid Afridi (Pakistan)

  • ICC all time T20 Ranking- 2 (All rounder)/ 6 (Bowling)

Veteran Pakistani leg spinner Shahid Afridi is one of the greatest player ever from Pakistan. Throughout his whole career, he has been a destructive lower-order batsman and economical leg-spin bowler. He has also played some memorable knocks by opening innings for Pakistan. Afridi has scored 1416 runs in 91 innings (Average – 17.92) with the help of 4 fifties. He has also taken 98 wickets in 97 innings in T20s and his economy is 6.67 only which too economical in aspect to this format of this game.

Samuel Badree (West Indies)

  • ICC All time T20 Ranking- 2 (Bowling)

In our playing XI, Samuel Badree is the lone specialist spinner. Due to his tremendous bowling and economical FIGURE, ICC placed him in the 2nd in the ALL-TIME T20 ranking. Badree has taken 56 wickets in only 52 matches with an exceptionally economical figure of 6.17 runs per over. He has taken 4/15 against Bangladesh on 25 March 2014 which is his best bowling figure in a match.

Shaun Tait (Australia)

  • ICC All time T20 Ranking- 11 (Bowling)

We have only one fast bowler in the Top 10 of ICC all-time T20 cricket ranking in the bowler section. Therefore due to the perfect combination team, we are including Australian speedster Shaun Tait. During his peak time, Shaun tait considered as the panic button for the batsman due to his tremendous speed. Tait has taken 28 wickets in only 21 matches while his best figure has come against Pakistan (3/13) and he was awarded as Man of the Match.

Jasprit Bumrah (India)

  • ICC Bowling  T20 Ranking- 13 (All time) / 26 (Present)

Bumrah is considered one of the most talented players in world cricket now. His toe crusher Yorkers, Economical bowling in death overs made him a “Death specialist” for India. Bumrah has taken 59 wickets in just 49 innings and his best figures have come against Zimbabwe on June 20, 2016.

Umar Gul (Pakistan)

  • ICC All time T20 Ranking- 1 (Bowling)

The No 1 T20 bowler in the ICC All-time t20 Ranking is captured by Pakistani Fast Bowler Umar Gul. Gul has been an integral part of the Pakistan Cricket Team since his debut and the most important bowler for them in T20 format. Gul has taken 85 wickets in only 60 matches that he played. He has taken 5/6 in a match against New Zealand on 13 June 2009. Against South Africa, he has taken the same figure (5/6) again on 3 March 2013.
